Do you have a price list available?
I wish I could provided a HATTER "Price List" but this just isn’t possible, due to the unlimited design & material options!
- Designs can be adjusted to fit within your budget.

​How much time is needed to make a bespoke headpiece?
I generally ask for a minimum of 4 weeks for a custom order, but will endevour to assist you, if time is short. 

​What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Every part of your outfit; including your shoes, bag & jewellery. This might just spark some inspiration for the design.

Do I need to leave anything with you?
Yes please, that way I can guarantee a colour-match. Everything is covered & hung-up / bagged / boxed-up  & labeled to keep it safe & clean whilst being stored here.

Can I bring a friend along to my appointment?
​Yes, of course! If we can keep numbers down to 2 or 3 people, as space is limited but yes, it can be handy to have a trusted second opinion. 

Can you use my fabric / beads / off-cuts in the design?
Yes, yes & yes! I love to include details like these. It helps create that coordinated look I strive to achieve in all of my designs.

What do I do if I'm not 100% happy with my finished bespoke headwear?
​Contact me immediately! I endevour to complete your order in plenty of time; to allow you to wear it at home BEFORE the big day, to make sure you are happy with how it sits & feels. 
Should there be ANY problem, then let me know & I will rectify it asap. ​

​How long will my consultation take?
As long as you need! There is no rush, or pressure, to make any decisions if you feel at all unsure. 


Do I get to try it on / see my hat whilst it's being made? 
I send regular updates on the progress of your hat, plus any alterations ​if any, or changes in cost.
I've found that an unfinished hat can look rather 'underwhelming', so would rather have a big 'wow' reveal, once I've deemed it to be finished.
​You still have the opportunity to make any changes, if you so wish.

Does my HARROGATE HATTER hat come in a box?
Typically, yes. Hats are best transported & carefully stored in boxes, with plenty of tissue paper. 

Do you sell hat boxes?
Yes, I do. Message me & I can send you dimensions & prices.

I can't find your current collection?
I don't create "collections", as I find clients' feel restricted to choosing from this limited seasonal line.
I design & make whatever it is you & your outfit might require...  the millinery-world is your oyster! 

Do you alter / retrim pre-worn or shop-bought hats?
Yes! If you are short on time or are looking for a more affordable option, this is an excellent alternative.

Do you hire hats out?
No, not currently. I am considering it in the future, so watch this space! 

But hats don't suit me!
Hats come in SO many shapes & sizes these days, there really is a hat for EVERYONE.
​Failing that - have one designed especially for you!  

Do you make men's hats too?
I have made a few styles.

What Covid-safe protocols do you have in place?
I am currently offering limited appointments through the week, to space-out consultations.
Hand gel is available for your use & I have doors & windows open to allow for plenty of ventilation.  
If you feel happier wearing a face covering, please do so.
If you are feeling unwell, please rearrange your appointment to a later date asap.
